del

delete a file

NAME
    del - delete a file

SYNOPSIS
    del name [name...]

DESCRIPTION
Deletes one or more files. The space they used is reclaimed later by
pack, not immediately. A name that does not exist reports "?No such
file" and the rest are still removed. Files only -- use rmdir for a
    directory.

    del is a /bin program (os/commands/del.c), not a shell built-in: it
tombstones each entry with the FDELETE BIOS call, like the other
external file commands (touch, cp, mv). A bare `del NAME` is found on
PATH and run, so it works exactly as before.

EXAMPLES
    del OLD.TXT
    del A.TXT B.TXT C.TXT
    del /d1/JUNK.DAT
