man¶
display a manual page
NAME
man - display a manual page
SYNOPSIS
man name
DESCRIPTION
Prints the manual page for a command. Pages are plain-text files in
the /man directory, one per command, named after the command in
lower case. `man dir` prints /man/dir. Works for both /bin programs
and OS built-in commands. An unknown name prints
"no manual entry for NAME".
man is a /bin program (a `cat` with a fixed /man/ prefix), so it can
also be run explicitly: run /bin/man.bin cat
