path¶

show or set the program search path
NAME
    path - show or set the program search path

SYNOPSIS
    path [dir ...]

DESCRIPTION
    With no argument, prints the current search path used to find
    programs run by bare name. With directory arguments, sets the path.
    The default is /bin. When you type a bare command name, the OS looks
    for name.bin in the path directories. path is an OS built-in.

EXAMPLES
    path                 show the current path
    path /bin /binc      search /bin then /binc
