uniq

collapse adjacent duplicate lines

NAME
uniq - collapse adjacent duplicate lines

SYNOPSIS
    uniq [file]

DESCRIPTION
Prints a file (or standard input) with adjacent duplicate lines
collapsed to one -- a line is printed only when it differs from the
line before it. Only *adjacent* duplicates are removed, so uniq is
usually paired with sort. uniq is a /bin program.
